To Buy or Not to Buy...Online!

I went to my local fabric store looking for some material for future wardrobe projects.  I found some silky type material to make a top.  I had to stand on a long line to get the material cut and then another long line to pay for it.  I don't do well with lines.  I'm going to look into purchasing some fabric online.  I've been reading different sewing blogs and have some names of some online fabrics sights I'd like to check out.  Maybe I'll make a purchase for a small project and see how things go from there.  Ooooh I'm excited.  Can't wait to see what I might find.

  1. I hate standing in line too. I purchase about 90% of my fabric online. I like Fabric Mart, Fabric.Com, Vogue Fabrics, Low Price Fabrics, and Trim Fabrics. I consider myself an advanced beginner so I lean toward moderately priced fabric that will sew and wear well. Fabric.Com is a good place to start because they have coupon codes and free shipping if your order is $35.00 or more. Happy Shopping!

  2. I buy most of my fabrics online. I buy from Fabric Mart, Fabric.Com, Vogue Fabrics, and Low Price Fabrics. Years back, believe it or not, Wal-mart had some really great fabrics. Some of the Wal-mart stores had a better grade of fabrics. I have purchased wool crepe, jersey, gabardine, linen, ITY Knits, challis, bull denim, etc. from Wal-mart. The section manager at my Wal-mart would call me when she received some really nice fabrics.

    1. I've never purchased any fabric from Wal-Mart before. I'm going to have to check them out this weekend and see what they have. Joyce, thanks for the tip.
